Workspace overview

UBOS provides a flexible environment tailored to the diverse needs of developers and businesses. It allows you to create multiple, distinct workspaces for each of your projects. Whether you're working on different client projects, testing various versions of an application, or managing separate product environments, UBOS's workspace feature ensures that each project remains organized, isolated, and easily accessible. This compartmentalized approach not only enhances project management efficiency but also reduces potential conflicts between different project settings or dependencies.

Introduction to Workspace Environment​

It serves as a centralized workspace where you can collaborate, create, and customize your project with ease. Whether you are a business professional, developer, or both with the Workspace Environment, you have everything you need to bring your ideas to life, manage your projects effectively, and accelerate your development process.

How it's looks like?​

Workspace - is a virtual space that allows you to gather various services, resources and work with them as a single unit. Currently in a workspace can be multiple services of Flow Builder, Databases and single application for User Interface.

To create a workspace, click the "+" button in the "Workspaces" section. This action will open a modal window where you need to enter the name of the workspace. We recommend providing informative names that relate to your project.

After creating the workspace, you will see a table displaying all the workspaces below. To open it, click the "Open" button.

On this page, you will also find the following sections:

  • "Community" with numerous articles showcasing useful platform utilization.
  • "Discord" channel where you can reach out in case you have any questions.

These links, along with our YouTube channel featuring video guides, are duplicated in the header and will be accessible on all subsequent pages.

Workspace sections​

This is how the environment of each workspace looks.

Work zone

You can see several sections:

  1. Main working zone - here will be opened each visual editor service which you will use during your application development. You can open simultaneously as many editors as you like and change the position and size of each editor by our Layout manager.

  2. Sidebar located on the far left-hand side, allows you to navigate within the platform to pages such as 'Home', 'Templates Manager', 'Services' and 'User settings'.

  3. Service manager used to browse, open, and manage all of the services in your project. UBOS is a tool based low-code platform - you can get started immediately by opening UI Editor, create new Flow Manager (Node-RED) or establish new Database service for your application.

  4. Top bar contains useful links to all our resources that can assist you in your work.
